This is one of the prettiest and most scenic hiking routes in Samos especially during autumn and early winter. The colours and scents that you’ll enjoy here in October, November and December are unique and intoxicating. In particular, the part the trail which descends to the Kakorema ravine and then climbs up again, will bewitch you with its beauty! At Vourliotes and Manolates, which still maintain the charm of the mountain villages of Samos, there are plenty of tavernas and cafés, where you can get a coffee or a nice meal after your hike. Make sure you have a bit of spare room in your backpack, as you will find some very interesting folk art objects sold at the local gift shops.
Important Notice: Due to acts of vandalism, there has been extensive damage to the waymarking of Route 25. We therefore advise hikers to avoid the particular route until damages are restored. We strongly encourage hikers to report here any such instances of vandalism which they may encounter in the Samos Hikes network. It would also help to talk to the local people about it, try to get them involved!
